My name is no longer Elder...Its Uncle....=)
Yep thats pretty much the coolest news ever. even though we are not
able to name the little alexander i´m still super excited to have a new
addition to the family. =) I hope all is truly going well with you love
birds.
And thats pretty stinking awesome to hear about you
guys going to the rock concert. i´m always telling everyone that i have
the coolest mom on the planet. when they ask why I tell them, "she rides
motorcycles" and I will now add. "and still goes to rock concerts."
I would love to comment on all the news cause it seems to
be quite a bit of awesomeness happening back home but sadly i feel like
you guys want to hear a little about me too.
So one
of the more interesting things that happened this week was that we went
to a little bible shop this week. we found a little book called "100
biblical answers about mormonism." it certainly caught our attention and
when we saw that it was only 3 bucks we decided that it was a deal too
good to pass up. so my companion bought the book and we start reading.
"it was horrible anti mormon." most of it was attacking the book of
mormon and the first vision. but it was quite a testimony builder at the
same time. because most of the garbage that was in that book, even i, a
rather novice scriptiral man, was able to pick apart and show just
about 75 of the 100 answers were lack of/out of context information with
respect to the church, incredibly poorly formed arguments, or
misunderstood biblical passages. the other 25 or so i simply did not
have sufficeint information to understand what they were trying to say.
out of the hunderand argumants they used about 2 of them were decently
thought out and presented. however If thats truly the garbage that they
say to prove that the doctrines or history of the church was not
divinely inspired they will certainly have to do a little more homework.
Alright i´ll step of the soap box. A little bit later
that week we found an awesome family that is super curious about the
church. they know a ton of people from our ward. when me and elder max
found them they said that they had been wanted to go back to at least a
church but didnt know exactly where they wanted to go. so we invited
them to ours and they actually showed up. while there they already knew a
ton of people so the friendshipping will be really easy with them. i´m
just hopping to see them get baptized before i leave siqueira campos.
well see.
well thats about all the cool news this week. we lunches
this entire week to feed us which means i was not able to experiment
with any type of cooking this week. =( but hopefully i´ll do a little
this week. love you all! Congratulations on the getting of one more
wrinkle for the birthday dad! hope it was a good day! well talk to you
next week buh bye!!!
