DOH!!!

Goody Afternoony!

Well its currently 15:11 partly cloudy outside, hot as always and i´m sitting right were I want to be. =)

I figure maybe you you would like to hear about mothers day first. Its not going to be this sunday but it will be the next. I can make the call on the 10th, 11th, or 12th of may. that would be the saturday sunday or monday. Let me know what works best for you and than we can finalize a time next week.

So lets get on too the news for the week. life is going alright in my part of the world. me and my companion got a little sick this week. he got it way worse than i did. that little trip we made to the hospital turned into a nasty little bugger for him. but hes doing a lot better now. but we had to stay home a couple days this week so he could recover. For me it was nothing more than just a slightly upset stomach. a headache and a couple of body pains. nothing that a advil couldnt fix. =)

Thats pretty crazy to hear that Katie is getting married... wierd.... Give her a hug for me in congratulations. maybe even sneak a kiss on the cheek. just to see how she reacts. =) and i must admit the picture you sent of kevin giving a rasbery to kendall pretty much made me die. I was trying super hard not to just bust up laughing in the middle of the lan house... I truly cant tell if shes trying not to smile or if she is truly disgusted. perhaps a little of both. haha!

Well hey I think thats about all I got from this week.  seems like all is well at home! loved the pictures.  Love you guys too! buh bye now!!!

Oh Good Grief....

Hey there world! Sorry i´m sending this email off so late. hopefully no one got too worried. the reason i´m sending it off so late is because my companion elder Gross was getting a little sick yesterday. today he got worse so we went to the hospital and it turns out that whatever he´s got there isnt enough of the disease to really see what was going on. so we are going to have to go back the next week to see what is going on. It will be quite an advendture.
So this week has been pretty dang crazy. we´ve been making about ten thousand plans to get the ward more involved with missionary work. right now we are planning a way huge activity that will have all the leadership of the ward including the stake presidency, and give a training about how we want the ward to start including Preach my Gospel within their own home daily study of the scriptures. Elder M. Russel ballard made a statement this april that he wants all members to read PMG with the book of mormon and pass at least  one reference to the missionaries at least once every three months. we are working to get these patterns going in the ward.
We are also working to get our miracle man Gelaino into the waters of baptism. if everything goes well he should be baptised this saturday. we have a couple other people that we are working with too but its all just going pretty normal.
but yea  things are just kinda going in the mission. sometimes i feel like i´m doing the samething everyday . i´m exausted everday from walking in the hot sun all day. i´m tired from reasoning with people about why the church is true. i´m tired of having drunks run us down in the street and ask to be blessed and taken from their state of current sin. but everyday I get home and put my head on my pillow for some odd reason i´m happy that I was able to serve the lord that day. missionary work is the weirdest thing. cause its hard but its totally worth it. i hope you all know that i´m happy to be a missionary. theres no other place i´d rather be.
but hey i think i need to get going. i´ll talk to you guys next week. buhbye now!

One More Transfer Down!!!

Yep this week is transfers week. i´m staying right where i´m at so  i dont have much to say.   but we are getting new Zone Leaders. I´ve liked living with elder Archiza and Frankzak. but hey transfers is transfers. just have to be ready to say good bye too whoever when ever.

Also this week we had another baptism. Her name Was Miria. we found her near the beginning of the transfer. After a few weeks of going to the church and a little encouragement she was baptized saturday and confirmed sunday by Elder Me. =)

We found her when the bishop gave us a list of less actives that we need to visit. we found one of the women who was less active and her name was helena. she had just stopped going to church because about 2 years ago she went blind and had no way to go to church. Miria decided to help her and moved in to her house just to be her guide pretty much. well we took advantage of that oppurtunity to teach and turns out she liked the doctrine, liked the church, and decided to follow her savior by being baptized. Now our job is just too keep the ward involved to make sure she can make it to the temple.

Also we´ve been doing this service project all week. we´ve been having to cut down a tree. but hears the trick. the tree is completely surrounded by neiboring houses so we cant just take it down at the trunk which means first we have to take off the branches first. trick number too is that we cant let the branches fall on the roof of the house because all the roof is of this house is just simply sheet rock curved to make a shingle type of thing. meaning you but little to any weight on it it will break. so what we have to do is scale up the tree with a machete (or big knife thing) and some rope, tie the rope too the branch that will stay connected to the tree and a branch that we will be cutting off. we do this about a thousand times and  the tree slowly gets cut back. we only broken the roof once so far. its a good thing that the sheet rock shingle things aren´t that expensive. haha! I took a video of it and i´m pretty sure you guys will laugh at how we are having to  cut out this tree. If you let me know some type of drop box thing that I can send it that would be awesome. its too big to go by email. sorry.

anyway Thats pretty sad too hear about eric. He will definatly be in my prayers. I hope all goes well with the docters appointments.

So also some other good news is it feels like the tempuratures are cooling down a bit. we´ve been having some nicer weather latley too. its been getting a little stormy. which means its just getting a little cooler.  =) cooler weather means happiers elders. =)

anyway I think thats just about the news for the week. Keep Living on!

I Love Listening to the Prophets voice!!!!

So hey everybody! once again we have the drewbie from brazil sending out a HELLO to the whole world! haha!

so this week we I seriously saw a miracle of change in a man. remember that guy that i mentioned last week who went to the hospital and lived? well when we went back a couple of days he had totally changed his living condition. when we first met him he was a drunkard and it just seemed like his life was lost to the alcohol. He asked us to help him and so we visited him a couple times the first visit he was drunk again and could barely hold a conversation. his house was a wreck and it was just a really sad thing to see. then he got sick and when he recovered he changed it all. he cleaned his house and gave up the alcohol. the wierdest thing is that you can see it in his countanance. i´ve never really seen it before but his face literally changed. he really was a new guy. he could hold intelligent conversations. and we also found the cause of the miracle. The book of mormon. he told us that he had been reading that book a lot ever since we gave it to him. its amazing to see the difference that it made in his life. I can think of no other reason for such a rapid change in a man. The book is true and it can change lives. Just sayin. =)

So once upon a time it was general conference!!! woop woop!!! yes I got too hear all of the talks and they were great. for the first time in my life I found that one of my favorite talks come from one of the sisters. kinda strange huh? (i´m not sexist, i promise!) yea it was by linda reeves. she just made the connection really clear as to how we can change our lives. we dont change our lives by stopping just what is bad in our lives. we have to substitute the bad with the good. she made the connection really clear that if you have a problem such as an addiction of sorts, what you need to do is adopt the patterns of scripture study, prayer, and church attendance. seems pretty basic but its true. follow that pattern and almost any problem emotional physical or spiritual can be fixed. its not a sure fire answer to everything but its certainly the start of fixing just about anything

well yea I think i´m off for now. i´m already over my time limit. I love you my friends and family! Tchau Tchau!!!

Through the Fire and Flames...

Not only is that the hardest song to play on guitar hero three, that also describes this week fairly well.

This week we had a pretty kick butt week. meaning it kicked our butts. we were working like crazy. we have quite a few people that we are working with now that all have very real potential to be baptized. the work is going good!

Also I had a pretty cool experience that i just thought of. We have an investigator that is having a little bit of a hard time with the word of wisdom. one day we went to his house and he was way sick. we gave him a blessing. and just stayed with him and talked for about 20 minutes. we came back about 3 days later and he was even worse than the day before. I went to talk to his brother that lives next door to see if we could get him to the hospital. he agreed to the idea and I called the taxi so we could take him there. we did not go with him but sent his brother with him to watch over him. when we returned in the next week we found that he was happy in healthy. we started asking how was the recovery. well he told us that if we hadnt pushed the family a bit to get him to the hospital he would have died. they were able to give him some meds that saved his liver. I thought it was kinda cool how we were the instruments to save a life. and not just be the means to save souls.

Sadly i´m at a large lack of words today. i´ve been staring at the computer screen for about 10 minutes trying to think of what to say. went and wrote my letter to pres came back and still got nothing to say. i´m super sorry but this week we worked a ton but it was nothing really note worthy. it was just helping people progress towards baptism.

So i´ll close by just saying that i love you guys. I think about you guys just about every day. I hope all is going well. i´ll talk to you guys next week. hope you guys enjoy general conference this week! buh buy!
