Happy Turkey Day!!!

Well this week we had some cool stuff happen this week. nothing amazing but it was alright.

We were able to confirm our baptism from last week. she left to her dads house which is like super far away but now she´s an official member of the church.

Also today we played basket ball again at the church. however one of the members invited his basket ball team to play with all of us. so it was pretty much terrible having all of them trample over us while all of us were just scrambleing to even touch the ball. I´m pretty sure they enjoyed themselves even though we came off the court being exausted.

this week I also taught english class again. to help them learn a simple principle and to keep it fun i just played a game with them. I gave them 4 words translated on the board. Imitate, Smell, Sing, and Dance. from that they asked what they wanted to say and we´d help them translate a couple frases. they all in the end learned a coulple new words and were laughing so hard for smelling peoples feet and dancing like michael jackson.

we also had a compatition in zone meeting to make the tallest tower out of straws. so we turned me into the statue of liberty. =) sadly we were disqualified. haha! but i Laughed and took a picture.

Well I think thats about all i got today. I hope that you guys are enjoying the holidays. hardly anyone here even does anything for the holidays so sadly i´m not feeling much of the christmas spirit. =( however just so you know I got the package about 2 weeks ago but i just kept forgetting to tell you about it in the email. and yes. everything was consumed in a rapid fashion. I took a video of me blowing out my candles. i´ll see if i can send it.

talk to you next week!

Double Uncle.....

Well Thats pretty stinking cool that you its a boy. Looks like On kyles side the blessing of just boys is still strong. we´ll have to see with future childrens but as for now the manliness of the family passed through kyle. (sorry kev) haha! I´ll be sure to make sure he learns about the pure awesomeness of transformers and Megaman. Yes... He needs to learn the greatness of megaman while still in the womb. start playing megaman two in these critical stages of personality devolopment! haha!

Well this week was pretty cool. I was supposed to have been in a Trio this transfer but at the last minute it was changed. I just got one companion.... (thank goodness) His name is Elder Rutledge. He´s from Riverton utah and has a Family traight very familiar to all Jensens. Height. Yep... He´s 6 foot 6. this is actually his last transfer as a missionary so I will be killing him. (hopefully that was not a literal comment.) haha! but that all right because 4 weeks from now i will be starting my last transfer... =).

This week we had two baptisms. one of which is actually kind of special to me. the first was of a 14 year old girl named Crismyn. who has about 10,000 friends in the church so inviting her to be baptized was pretty easy. she had already been to church a lot and so she just kept going with her friends. the seminary teacher her baptized her.

the other, Eric, was Kinda special to me. He is EXACTLY 5 years yonger then me and he has just been a really good friend to me these past days. even though i was a missionary to him I saw him more as a friend than an investigator. I never felt like we were forcing him to do anything. many times when i thought that my words would be taken harshly in his eyes he responded very maturely for a 16 year old. he did not change everything over night but he took the nescessary steps to be baptized.

Something that i´ve noticed on the mission is that i´ve grown to love people. in the beginning of the mission, in fact in the MTC one of my biggest concerns was if i would be able to love the people of brazil. If I could lose my self enough to were i could learn to love the people. it wasnt until i´ve arrived here in Boa vista, Probably my last area, that i realized, I truly love the people here. I like being here and I love being a missionary. its something that makes me happy. I love seeing people change. seeing people change and stand for somehting lasting. it is somthing that makes me smile. I hope that In my life I can keep and improve this quality.

well i´ll talk to you guys next week. and just to keep you guys on your toes. starting this week, we can start counting how many weeks i have left on two hands. =) hope you guys dont get too trunky on me. =) haha! talk to you next week!

Chubby Bunny...

Yep. I dont know if you guys remember but a little while ago i mentioned something about a ward activity night that we do every other week. well this week we got the information that the person who was supposed to be incharge of doing the activity couldnt do it. so super last minute the missionarys start scrableing for something to do. someone found marshmallows super cheep in the nearby market. so what did we do? Chubby Bunny with the entire ward. Every one pretty much ended up on the floor laughing or saying in portuguese, "this game is disgusting." hopefully we didnt lose too many points with the ward. but i think every one had somewhat of a good time.

Well we have some sad news. My companion was transfered this week. He Heads out tomorrow morning and i´ll be getting my companions tomorrow morning. Before you make fun of that "S" at the end of Companions know that its not a mistake. Yessireebob, President is putting me in a Triplet..... oh boy........ He´ll be sending 2 Elders to me tomorrow. I really dont know how its going to be but everyone i´ve talked has actually said that being in a thresome is actually pretty cool. I just think the lessons are going to be a little messy.

So Also this week we had another one of those "green bomb" fights that i mentioned last week. we were on our way to lunch and the other elders that live with us were going with us this day. on the way we found more little green spiney plants. so me and garcia start a war just between us two. Then Miller and Jorge start pelting us from far away and it became an all out war once again. I may be 21 now but yes i´m still a little boy.

So this week we also found a super elect family. we decided to go get ice cream and while we were there we started talking with the owner of the place. turns out that she had a ton of mormon friends and was kinda curious about the religion so we marked to come back another day and left a pamphlet with a book of mormon. when we came back her husband had already read 8 chapters of the book of mormon with the pamphlet. she hadnt read much but said that she really wanted to go to church this sunday. We are really hoping that something comes from this family. i´ve yet to baptize a family on my mission so it would be super excited for me see them be baptized.

Well that the news for the week. I´ll talk to you guys next week. See you!!!

I'm not getting any younger...

Hey there family!

Thanks for all the happy birthday wishes! you guys have no idea how much that i would like to be there to celebrate with you guys but know that i´m still in good hands here. I´ve become pretty good friends with a member here and she made a special lunch for me today. =) I was super happy.

Well I did get everyones email and It made me feel all bubbly inside. I just about died reading yours kevin. its always a little bit wierd for other people in the public computer house to see "the mormons" start laughing in a hushed tone looking at his email. but heck. i´m pretty used to people looking at me like an alien, (White, Dressed like i´m rich all the time, clear eyes, MORMON,) its nothing new... haha!

Today was actually really pretty good for me. this morning my companion wanted to do something for me on my birthday so he got his "good" cereal, and some koolaid and made me a breakfast missionary style. haha! we all had a pretty good laugh about it. then we went to the church to play some Basket ball and we all had a really great time. one of our investigators, (who has my same birthday) Played basket ball with us and brought a mini cake  50 cent to split with us. he was pretty much awesome. he turned 16 this year.

this week we also had a pretty awsome adventure. we showed up to teach one of our investigators (who is part of a dance group) and while we were going to teach him we saw him practicing with his group in the street. when we showed up there we talked for a little bit and while we were talking one of the other guys from the dance group found a tree full off little green spiny fruits. He grabbed a hand full and threw it at us. that was pretty much the end of the lesson sadly because we (being super mature) grabbed the little fruits and started pelting the guy who threw it at us. with a bunch of youth near by they wanted to feel included and started joining in by scaling up the tree and stalking up the teams with a montain of "ammo" it was a pretty awsome 20 minutes of getting our nice clean white shirts splotched with cute green plant kisses. we all left laughing however the at our next commitment we had to do a little bit of explaining.

But thanks again everyone for remembering me on my aniversario. Know that it really helps give the boost to just be happy during the week. =) i´ll talk to you all next week.

Moo...

yep... Moo thats the best subject line i´ve got...

So sounds like A LOT of stuff happened this week back home. I guess i´ll start with the Grandmama (or to me... mama) First in saying congratulations on one more year of Life! how old are you again? 25 right? hee ho hee ho! wow young enough to be my big sister... But seriously hope the birthday was great. sounds like you had very few complaints.

and my Dearest Brother and Sister, Kyle and Jodi, HOLY FREAKING GARBAGE!!! you guys are Expecting! I´m not going to lie I didnt pick it up when I first looked at the picture of chuck. I just noticed that chuck had his head tilted. so I grabbed my companion and showed him the picture really quick. I told him that chuck seemed to know when the camera is pointed at him because he always tilts his head. however after looking at it for a little bit longer I noticed something odd.... Ten feet.... and feet number 9 and 10 were cute feet... I must say i doubted for a little bit but after reading moms email everthing was confirmed... I will have another little person that I will have to provide free babysitting on friday nights and holidays... oh the joys of being the youngest. hahaha! But i´m super excited for you guys. I´ll put up the same offer for you guys that a gave to kevin and Kendell. If its a Blue, you need to give him the name of Alexander... this is not a choice. its a requirement. if its a princess... I would settle For Drew, Yes my name is Bisexual and yes you may give your new little angel that name. =)

Well As for my adventures this week there wasnt a lot of crazyness that happened this week. yes we overloaded the primary again this week but it was but with them we brought the rest of the family too. which ment we overloaded the youth leaders too.. =) it was pretty excited to have brought ten people to church if not a little bit stress ful. becuase it was very much a war in sacrament meeting again. i had been caught off guard in sacrament meeting again by not having any cookies so it was just a bunch of "SHHHHHH" or everyonce in a while " SHUT UP!" I could say that to them in english be cause they dont understand anyway... haha! But all in all it was a good experience.

(this part is mostly for you dad) So here in brazil I´m not sure if i´ve ever mentioned but Cocacola is incredibly popular. every one drinkes Coke. I enjoy it. its a good drink. but Sadly I had been decieved... I had forgotten the truth... Being in brazil had give me a lack of wisdom.... however... one day I was passing the market... And I saw something that seemed faintly familiar... A mark... of red and blue... It seemed like a distant dream of a better world from which i had came. I was extremely curious and approached the Refrigerater that contained the bottle with the mark. I read what was on the bottle. Pepsi. and everything came back to me. My family (a.k.a. Dad) had taught me since birth to love pepsi and i remembered... I love pepsi. I bought it but sadly didnt have cup to drink it. so i asked them for a plastic baggy and a straw. so me and my companion walked down the street drinking pepsi out of a bag with a straw. I have found truth... haha!

So that was a pretty bogas story but its all true and i had a lot of time this week to write. haha! Congratulations on the oldness of birthdays and the newness of childrens. See you in three months from today! buh bye now!

Oct. 20, 2014

Hello!!!

Hey i´m sorry but this week the email will be a little bit short. Because of a bunch of garbage that I had to do Down town I was not able to get into the lan house till now. P-day ended an hour ago. so i´ll be brief as to not break the rules to much.

This week was pretty good. We were able to double the size of the primary this week because we brought about 7 kids to the church this week. we invited them all to the church randomly and they all decided that they would come. amazingly they all came and me and Elder Garcia had a small taste of how it might be to be a primary teacher... next time i know that i need to bring cookies or crackers to keep them all quite in sacrament meeting... goodness.

Well I´ll be forwarding the trunky letter to you today too. they sent me some stuff last week that i was not able to forward to you but i will give it too you this week. i hope that you guys dont get to trunky on me because of this but sure you´ll be a little bit gitty about it.

sorry about the shortness of the email but i´ll talk to you guys next week. see you!
