BRAZIL!!!!!!

HEY GUYS GUESS WHAT!!!! I DIDN'T GET MY VISA!!!!

haha!!! I had you all going there. =)

So I would like to apologize for not emailing yesterday. it was memorial day and the library was closed.... =(

So! first is first. I've been doing well here in Darby and I think I've said this just about every time I've emailed home since I've been here, but it is beautiful here. I love the sights here. we are surrounded by mountains and there are tree's everywhere! It is just so beautiful. I love it!!! The people here are so nice too. They love talking with us and love having us over. even though most of them don't really want to listen to the message that we have, they love talking. =)

Yes i'm still waiting on my visa. grr... I'm super excited to be here in Montana but I really would be super grateful if i could just get to Brazil just a little bit faster. I understand that i probably need to either learn something or give someone a nudge towards the church but I really want to make it down to Brazil soon. =) its going to be glorious when i can finally go. =)

So Eric is finally heading out now huh? Thats so great! I tell you what its exciting to be on the mission. this sounds super cliche but I've really learned so much since I've been out here. I've learned so much about the gospel and religion in general. I've been so happy and grateful to be able to try and invite people to take part in something that really will change their lives. it may not be super apparent all the time how the gospel can really change you. but when you dive in its amazing what it can do. it really is the best source of true and lasting happiness.

Well i love you all! Yall smell like Goats.

Love Elder Muffin. =)

Great Scott!!!

I Tell you what this week has been crazy! I didn't know that Transfer week would be so ridiculous! Let me explain...

Once upon a time there was an elder cornwall who was transferred to the Darby area. He was getting to know the area just fine and then about 4 days into getting to know the area, his companion, elder croteau gets a phone call from the president. The President tells The companion that he is getting transferred again to white hall and that the elder down in white hall, Elder Ruchti (pronounced Ruktee) is coming to Darby. so they traded spots on Saturday.

So now in Darby we have two missionaries who have no idea what the heck is going on in the area... haha! Challenge Accepted!!! we are currently rummaging through everything we can find to get to know Darby. Today is day two to figure out where everything is. =)

So we are also living on a Ranch that is quite large. Like I said last week we live in a cabin. but we've recently found out that the Hewletts, the members whose home we live at, are very interested in missionary work. which is great! HOWEVER they expect the world of us. they actually invite us over once a week for missionary training. and its really rough. its pretty much a 2 hour run down of history of everyone ever who lives in Darby. and brother Hewlett is quite the speaker. He knows everyone and is pretty much a guy who influences people nationally. he's no small name. so he expects us to work just the way he does. And whats great is what he tells us really helps. he knows just about everyone in Darby personally. He such a great help, but its pretty Hard core.

Still no word on the visa. but some people from my district in the mtc got their Visa's so mine may be close behind.

Well i hope all is going well with you everyone! tell everyone that i love them. be sure to look out for the missionary opportunities all of you can be involved in. I know that missionary work is so much better with the members and their involvement. Till next week I bid thee all fare well!

MIRACLE LADY!!!!!!!

Hey Ho Hiddy Har! Everybody get in the car!
Haha! I came up with that in like 5 seconds. =)
Hey Everybody!!!

Ok I have a Great story for this week! Once upon a time elder Nielson and I were tracting houses. We keep track of houses that dont answer their door so we know which ones we should come back and knock on. while on this street we have run into a few people that want to hear our message. Namely Dixie and Quinten (I may have mentioned them in past emails.)
THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD! Me and Elder Landbeck went to go see if we could see Quinten. Landbeck had never been their before so i was leading the way. we start walking up the street and i'm not sure whether its left or right... we turn left. as we are walking i slowly begin to realized that we've taken the wrong turn so we are going to have to back track about a half a block... WELL! as we are walking back, (take note that we've been tracting this street for a couple days now...) some Strange car just pulls up to us and this lady rolls down her window.

she tells us that she's seen us walking by her house and we've knocked on her door a few times. she says that she's Catholic but really respects us for spreading the Jesus word. she asks if we could meet with her and that she just lives down the street. WHERE WE MISTAKENLY WALKED BY!!! (it was not a mistake.) ok everybody calm down the best part is about to come.

So we tell her we'll come by after we visit with someone. Quinten wasnt home so we just went straight there. we begin talking with her and she totally just made us feel like home. she did more then just say "make your self at home." she told us "put your feed up, grab some soda, just be comfortable. (she totally reminds me of mom) we gladly accept her her offer. and she asks a few questions about the differences between the catholic and mormon church. she didnt like how she'd been told that people preaching about jesus were somehow a cult. we laughed a little about stereotypical ideas about both our churches.

we begin teaching her a little about the restoration. she says "you know, the way i've felt at this meeting with you is simply one of the most spiritual moments i've had in my life." (WOOOOOOOO!!!!) so the first lesson went awesome.

then we grabbed a member and returned to her house to answer her questions and teach her about the plan of salvation. she said that the Book of mormon was quite a book and she said that she really liked what she read. we answered a few more questions and taught her the plan of salvation but only got through about half way. she then told us that she had always believed in that type of pre mortal existance. she just thought she was crazy or something.

Its been a great week just because of her. she was the most accepting person i have ever worked with and honestly think will ever work with on my entire mission. its been great. I never ever expected that i would ever have a story like that happen to me personally. It was just great. I thought that a story like that would only happen to a very select few people just so we could have a few pump up stories for things like preach my gospel and conference talks.

The Lord is working hard to prepare people for us to teach. He know's every single one of us very well. To me there is no other explanation then the lord works with his children's hearts to convince them to run down a couple of young men and talk to them about religion. people dont just do that... for anyone one who reads this and may be down on them selves let me give you some council. Do some missionary work. Nothing, I promise, will be more rewarding. you will not find anything that makes you happier. work with the missionaries because they need your help.

Well this week has just been awesome! I miss everyone terribly but I know that i'm where i'm supposed to be. All is well! Love you all!
