Bad Hair Cut....

Well it was bound to happen some time on my mission.

So heres what happen. I think it was last thursday. I saw that Elder Castillo (ZL) had a razer with an adjustable guard that he uses to cut his own hair. I ask him if I could use it and he said yes. so he just gives it to  me and says good luck... I kinda got the impression that he didnt want to cut it for me so I just start trying to do it myself. and it was going great actually. I was almost done and it acutally looked great. so I undo the guard. I look at it and decide that I want it just a little bit shorter... that was the mistake. when I but the guard back on I forgot to put it back up to how long I needed it so its on the shortest length it does. I do one little stripe look at the guard and think ,"wow... that took out alot..." then i look at the mirror... I had one spot on the side of my head that was NEARLY bald... I just about flip a brick. haha! So we decide the only way to fix it is to go really short on the sides. luckily i was able to save the top. but right now I totally have a military hair cut. super short on the sides and long enough on top to still be able to do a little bit of something on top. now my hair has already grown out enough to where its pretty blended and looks good now. but goodness that first day was a nightmare... haha!

So I think you might be interested in knowing that i´m getting really into cooking all of the sudden on the mission. we´ve realized that we´ve been morons all of our mission and there are about a billion recipes online that we can just right down and try at home. its been going really good. we´ve already made pizza, cake, chips, cookies, and a bunch of other stuff which i just cant remember at the moment. its all from scratch too. maybe when i come home i´ll have to impress you all with my newly found cooking skills.

Well also the work is going super good too. We have a 17 year old boy who is wanting to get baptized this saturday. he is like one of the elect people i´ve ever worked with. he has all the greatest questions and he pretty much knows everything about the plan of salvation. even the parts about baptisms for the dead and continuous progression throught the eternities become similar to god. he´s quite a unique kid. he´s even started showing the book of mormon to his freinds and when his friend laugh at him he relates himself to nephi in his situation with laman and lemuel. he´s pretty much just awesome.

so yep the work and life is going really well. i´m loving my situation on the mission. its just a blast. we even got the shower fixed this week. no more ice baths in the morning. =) so life is great hope its just as good for you guys at home. keep being awesome! buh bye! till next week.

Mr. Bean

Yep people started telling me that i look like Mr. Bean with my ever so slight balding head... yep... i´m bald.
Well dad i´m not going to lie when i read your email I smiled from pretty much ear to ear. just the mental picture of my dad going down and sitting on that couch down stairs rocking out to all his oldies just makes me smile. haha!

So this Week was transfers and like i said last week i just stayed here with elder gross. but this week was kinda a pain. just because we worked like super hard but it didnt show at all. Heres the deal.
Last Pday we had to stay at the church and help out with the transfers thing making sure everyone had a place to sleep that night. tuesday we had to make sure everyone got to the church on time so that they could hear where they were getting transfered. also had to make sure that everyone had a place to eat for lunch and arrange for about 10,000 taxis to take everyone to their area. wednesday we had a meeting for elder gross in grajeru. we had plans to get back to siqueira super quick so we could visit some people. sadly it started poring and all the streets got flooded so we couldnt even leave the building we were at. so that killed wednesday. THURSDAY! was a miracle. we were able to finally make some visits. at we found some really good people to teach. friday came around and the sisters had some baptisms that i had to interview. sadly they didnt get home when they said they would so we ended up waiting around for about an hour for the interview to happen. luckily it didnt take the whole day so we were able to get a lesson in that day. saturday was the same story as friday with two interviews. then we had ward counsel on sunday which with church lunch and ward council pretty much took that whole day too. so we ended up the week with a grand total of 5 lessons... yep... that is the least number of lessons i have ever had in any week of my mission... I feel kinda silly... but that means we are going to have to be all the more awesome this week.  =)
well im sorry but me and my companion have to run so this is sadly a short email. know that i´m well and that i´m happy. hope all is well there at home. know that i love you and miss you all too. but till next week. buh-bye!

Happy Mother's Day!!!

So first of I will say it again! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!! it really was great to see you all sunday! (sorry my enter key is broken so this will just be one big blob of a letter...) so i´m really not even sure what to tell you guys for this week. i felt like everything was pretty much said yesterday... i told you about cutting down the tree, releasing the bomb at the members house... theres not much more that happened this week. well actually today we did something pretty cool. we´ve been working with this guy named gileno. (jee-leh-noo) he is a guy who has a really big problem with alchohol. well he´s been improving a lot. he reads the book of mormom prays and even goes to church pretty often. but he still is having a really hard time stopping with the beer. so yesterday we went to his house and he told us that he wanted us to come have lunch with him tomorrow (today). so we went there at about noon today and sadly he was completely wasted... we went there with some food already cooked and it ended up just being us eating and him telling us how much he loves us. sadly it was just the alcohol talking.... I´ve certainly seen how alcohol is one of the chains of the devil. it works very well... sadly. also we got transfer calls yesterday and i´m staying right her in siqueira campos. in fact no one was transfered in my house. its all just the same goofs. =) it will be another good tranfer. well hey i think i´m going to head out now. i´ll talk to you guys next week. buh bye! Almost There...

Yep. i´m just as excited as you guys about mothers day. =) hope everyone can be there. =) can you believe that this is already my 3rd call? after this i´ll have only one more... weird...

So this week was pretty great. we had a bunch of cool stuff happening. me and my companion have been doing all we can to try and get all the members to start using Preach my Gospel. we went as far as to bake pizza for them for a night in the last week and after we fed them we Guilted them all into helping us out by giving a focus Personal Preach my Gospel Study. I hope it works out.

This last week we also had a special visiter for stake conference. He was from the seventy. in fact Elder Costa is like the head honcho for all of brazil. He came to speak at Stake conference together with President Gonzaga. He came to give the soon to be Elder Gonzaga (of the seventy) a chance to speak and let the world no his name. (I hope I told you but President gonzaga was called to be a seventy.) So we had quite a bit of high up authority in our stake center.

funny story about this whole thing. While Elder Costa was speaking he asked to see a raise of hands from all the elders and sisters in the ward. then he asks me and my companion to come up front so he could do a demonstration with one of us. nervous as heck to go up and be at the side of the President of Brazil pretty much. I realize that I hadnt Shaved in two whole days. For a Missionary that is a lot a freaking facial hair. wanting to hide my face From the general authority and president gonzaga, I go up with my head down a little bit. And some how end up at right in front of him where he can absolutly see that I was slightly lazy the last two mornings. he grabs my companion to do the demonstration and then I have to sit down next to the seemingly peircing eyes of president and sister Gonzaga. at this point i´m sure i´m all sorts of red. thankfully he calls president to do part of the demonstration too. at the end of it all he dismisses us and I practically sprint to get back to the safety of my seat. OH... MY... GOSH!

thats is the last time I forget to shave in the morning on the mission.

Stupid  Tab Button...

yep thats what happens when you are trying to type fast. but i´m wraping it up anyway. That was certainly an experiance that is going in the books.

but hey hope all is well at home. i´m going good here too.  Love you all! till sunday!!! buh bye now!
