Flying Cows Jumping Over Fences With Gleeful Faces of Joy

Hows that for a mental image! =)

Well its great to hear that dads home. I forgot too tell you last week the way you discribed how people drive sounds frankly familar... for some odd reason it feels like I see that kind of driving just about everyday...
Still havent seen the birthday package but I should get it this week. we have a zone conferance this week so I should see it their. I´m pretty sure i´ll get it then.
This week was pretty cool too. The last transfer we got some more elders to help us out in our same ward. so now we have 4 elders for one ward. they are the new ZL´s and they are pretty dang good workers. they have been working in Barra dos Coqueiros They been having a lot of success there. the reason I tell you is because we were asked to help them assist in the establishing of a group/branch there. We found a school were we could meet for the meeting and the elders and the bishop pretty much ran the whole program. We pulled together the talks the sacrament just about everything. It was really pretty cool to be there. Those are the pictures that I sent. Kinda looks like a death trap in the picture but it really wasnt that bad. it was just gettting dark when i took the picture. But that is kinda what schools look like around here. they are full of graphitti and writing on the walls. its actually kinda interesting. most of the writing is just silly little people writing how they will love eachother till the Second coming (forever) but some of the artwork on the walls is actually kinda cool.
The other picture is one me at the burger king. I was actually really happy to see an american food chain for once. we went last p-day. the only bad part was that it was way flipping expensive. I got two burgers and a sunday for 15 Reais. (about 8 dollars.) it was just kinda ridiculous but hey it was good food. the rest of the elders spent about 25 Reais. I´ve discovered thatt i´m a Mão de Vaca. which means i´m kinda a scrooge. I dont like spending my money. haha! (dont worry i´m eating fine.) but the rest of the elders gett really annoyed with me cause I actually budget my money a little bit.
But this week has been good. I´m happy and healthy. I´ve been eating my fruits and veggies. I´m doing well. hope i wasn´t too boring this week. i´ll let you know when you I get the package. Love you all! bye!!! tell Lissy that I say hi!

Flibber degibbits... The process of degibbiting a flibber...

Thats for you Kevin. =)
Hey there everybody in the home town! Sounds like all is well back home. I´m doing well too. I´m not sure how christmas is going to work but I think that I´ll be going to someplace for the hollidays. i´m not sure if it will be maceio or some other place but i know that i will be traveling. just dont know the exact destination.
So I have Stories... Quite great stories... let me start from the beginning... Before we were all born god created a plan... ok thats too far back So!!!! we´ve been teaching a bunch of people and a bunch of people have been listening. its been quite amazing actually. This week we had a few baptisms too. let me start with the first.
First there was Marcos. He´s incredibly well read within the bible and has been searching for a church for quite some time. but based on his knowledge of the bible he was not able to find anyone that represented the church that he knew that exsited in the day of christ. but one day our bishop Aumberto found him and told him to invastigate our church. he started with the lessons about 3 weeks ago and decided to be baptized. He was baptized by the bishop.
Second their was Rita. Weve been working with her since the begginning of the transfer. Most of her familly has already been baptized but she was very afraid of the commitment to the church. She´s been avoiding the idea of baptism for about 20 years now. after a long time of convinceing and re convincing and re re convincing her to be baptized she finally she decided it was the right choice. She was baptized by her son.
Third their was Alysson. He is a man that drives a taxi for a living. He has a girl friend within the church and has always been looking for a church but he didnt know how to find the answers. When he found out about the missionaries he had a bunch of questions for us. He was incredibly curious. He asked lots of questions and seemed to be like sponge in recieving the answers. Eventually he decided that everything that we were saying was the truth. He was baptized by his Future Father in Law.
Fourth their was Geronimo. He is a slightly rebelious little 12 year old boy and We found him when he was invited to the church by his aunt, Damares. He was interested in the church because of what he felt their. He said that he always feels better when he´s done with church. He decided to be baptized too. He was Baptized by Elder Patricio, My companion.
Fifth there was Terezinha. We called Her Tereza for short. She was an old woman with a heart of gold. She was so happy to see the missionaries. She was Almost Deaf but loved to see and hear from the missionairs. She was always insistant on giving us food or something after we taught her. She was always very grateful for what she could understand. She can´t read and her age has taken a toll on her too. She cares for her Great Grand son Geronimo as best she can in her advanced age. She prayed many times that she might have an answer to what we were saying about god and christ. she wanted so bad that answer. And eventually by the grace of god she found it. She was Baptized and Confirmed by me.
I´m very excited about what has been accomplished this week. Its amazing to reflect on these people from such different backgrounds found something common in this church. Its been a testimony to me to see that people are willing to change many parts of their common lives to live in a more elevated manner. they´ve seen no better reason to do this than by the simple testimonies of two young men in suits and a few beloved people within their own lives. I know this is the church of God. I know it was taken away for awhile because of the wickedness of the people. I also know that it was restored by a young boy truly seeking for truth. I know this is the Truth that God would have everyone learn and apply in their own lives.
Thank you for all your prayers and support. I know that god has a special interest within this work. I´ll talk to you all in the next week. I love you all and miss you all.

Mr. Schmoe wants to know what show he should go and so he'll row with the flow til he glows from his nose to his toes....

10 second poems. I should sell this idea for schools in the creative writing classes. I´ll be made rich!!!! hahaha!!!
So hey there everybody. to answer the question about the packages i´m sure they are just a little backed up. I still havent gotten the birthday package but I do have good news! (this is good news as long as you´ve been lazy.) I got the pictures of the grand canyon! =) it took two months but they finally arived!!! haha! yea...you sent them at the beginning of november and i got them this last week... yea the mailing system is a bit slow... and yes I got all the family emails. with the 10,000 pictures that took forever to load.
So truly not much happened this week. I dont have much to say at all. I´m currently living with the ZL´s. I think I said that last week but its certainly been a rather boring week. we have a lot of good lessons and the work is certainly going well! I can honestly say that i´ve been feeling the spirit all week. But Nothing bad happened during the week that made us have to think. everything is pretty much going to plan. and all the plans we have are meant to happen in this week. So sorry i´m at a slight lack of words for this week. the next week should certainly be more exciting.

we are teaching 3 people that are doing very well. Marcos, Alison, and Geronimo. Marcos is a Bible genious and has been looking for a church that actually claims to have the authority of god. he´s noticed a ton of points that the true church needs and he´s found a lot of them here in the LDS church. Alison is the boyfriend of one of the members and he´s absolutly hilarios. then geronimo is the nephew of one of the members. so yea i´ll have more news about them in the next week. if all goes according to plan.
I guess thats all for this week! thanks so much for all the support! I love reading all the news thats going on back home! I Promise i´ll be more interesting next week! love you all! buh-bye for now!!!

Woop Woop ... (say it in a high voice and really fast)

Yea... this woop woop thing is what we do at the apartment when we have a victory, whether it be we had a good missionary day, someone bought chocolate, or when someone is finished baptizing the lamanites. (the lamanites one has a duel meaning.) hahaha!
Thanks everyone for the happy birthdays. It made life just that much better. I´m not going to lie I was a little trunky yesterday. I was thinking about how much has changed since i´ve been gone. meaning how i dont have any single brothers anymore, and how the we have pretty much a new house a new sister in law and a new mom. yea... I was longing a little bit for my family. But dont think that means that i didnt work!!!! haha!
Its pretty cool to hear about all the stuff thats going on at the house. the new theatre system at the house of kyle (thats how they speak here... when i get home dont be suprised when i say the house of someone and not someone´s house.) the chuck being just as cute as ever. and the normal business of everyone else. I hope you know how much a love and miss you all. =)
So for news from me not much happened for my birthday in all honesty but the day before was pretty stinking awesome! we had two baptisms. one of which was a huge suprise. we´ve been teaching Liria and Vitoria for about 3 weeks now and they were super excited to be baptized. Liria was absolutly ready to be baptized. but her sister, vitoria was a little skeptical still. so we interviewed liria and said we will prepare vitoria a little more. Then the next day comes, (saturday) and we get all set up for the baptism of Liria, and then her sister Vitoria spoke up and said that she wants to be baptized too. So luckily we had the ZL´s there and they were able to interview her at the baptism. she passed and we were able to baptize both of them. It was a really interessting day.
for my birthday I recieved some chocolate from the members which made me laugh super hard. I was very grateful for it. I had too avoid a few hugs from the miamaids. there is one with a slight crush on me just cause my eyes are super bright. just about all the brazillians have really richly dark brown eyes. its actually really cool looking. but for them its normal so the bright eyed elder cornwall is slightly an attention grabber. A blessing and a curse at the same time. but this little girl (14 years old) always likes to find me and talk. I´m still not much of a conversationalist in portuguese. thankfully I was able to avoid the attempts of hugs. i´m not sure if it was a blessing or not but I can say i held true to mission rules. haha!
Well I think thats all the time i´ve got to write to you guys. Thanks so much for the happy birthday wishes and news from home. It was great to hear from the whole family. Thanks so much for the support! I´m sure you all know how much it helps with the work. Well buh-ba-dee-ba buh bee ba bee da, Thats all for now Folks! (trumpets in the background)
