Double Uncle.....

Well Thats pretty stinking cool that you its a boy. Looks like On kyles side the blessing of just boys is still strong. we´ll have to see with future childrens but as for now the manliness of the family passed through kyle. (sorry kev) haha! I´ll be sure to make sure he learns about the pure awesomeness of transformers and Megaman. Yes... He needs to learn the greatness of megaman while still in the womb. start playing megaman two in these critical stages of personality devolopment! haha!

Well this week was pretty cool. I was supposed to have been in a Trio this transfer but at the last minute it was changed. I just got one companion.... (thank goodness) His name is Elder Rutledge. He´s from Riverton utah and has a Family traight very familiar to all Jensens. Height. Yep... He´s 6 foot 6. this is actually his last transfer as a missionary so I will be killing him. (hopefully that was not a literal comment.) haha! but that all right because 4 weeks from now i will be starting my last transfer... =).

This week we had two baptisms. one of which is actually kind of special to me. the first was of a 14 year old girl named Crismyn. who has about 10,000 friends in the church so inviting her to be baptized was pretty easy. she had already been to church a lot and so she just kept going with her friends. the seminary teacher her baptized her.

the other, Eric, was Kinda special to me. He is EXACTLY 5 years yonger then me and he has just been a really good friend to me these past days. even though i was a missionary to him I saw him more as a friend than an investigator. I never felt like we were forcing him to do anything. many times when i thought that my words would be taken harshly in his eyes he responded very maturely for a 16 year old. he did not change everything over night but he took the nescessary steps to be baptized.

Something that i´ve noticed on the mission is that i´ve grown to love people. in the beginning of the mission, in fact in the MTC one of my biggest concerns was if i would be able to love the people of brazil. If I could lose my self enough to were i could learn to love the people. it wasnt until i´ve arrived here in Boa vista, Probably my last area, that i realized, I truly love the people here. I like being here and I love being a missionary. its something that makes me happy. I love seeing people change. seeing people change and stand for somehting lasting. it is somthing that makes me smile. I hope that In my life I can keep and improve this quality.

well i´ll talk to you guys next week. and just to keep you guys on your toes. starting this week, we can start counting how many weeks i have left on two hands. =) hope you guys dont get too trunky on me. =) haha! talk to you next week!

Elder Alexander
