my companion does it well... =) I will explain along the way.
But
first! Thanks mom for looking up the stuff about the byu thing. i´ll
ask president if I can talk to him about the endorsment. Thats also
pretty crazy how Katie is already getting so close to being married.
Sent my Congratulations to her. i´ll probably end up sending a letter to
her or something like that too. =)
So this week was rather interesting. we were able to
get some stuff done during the week that made a difference in the lives
of some people. first off, one random day me and elder max were
conversing in the street. in english. (shame on me) and while we were
talking there was a random 24 year old girl in the street named Aline
who started talking with us too... in english. it took us both off guard
because she spoke english very well. we had a short conversation with
her and we were able to mark a time that we could go to her house and
talk to her a little bit about the church.
When we made it there. she was very welcoming. when
we entered it was easy to see that either her or her family was very
involved in the catholic church. there were saints and crosses all over
the house. so after about an hour of chatting with her. (remember the
subject line?) we finally start to teach. so we taught her the
restoration and she was actually very atent. she believed in the idea of
the restoration. she always felt as if somethings were missing and she
had noticed that there were ten billion churches talking about christ.
after we taught we invited her to church. and she went. =)
after a lovely conversation on the way to the
chaple... (subject line) she arrived at the chapel and always stayed
close to my companion. she loved everything about the church and my
companion made sure we were following up well with her. we walked her
ALL the way back to her house (something we have yet to do with any
other investigator.) and already have marked with her a family home
evening that we will be making snicker doodles with a couple other
members. a cute little american treat that they dont have here. =)
isnt my companion cute... =) its amazing what a cute
face can do. its by far some of the best following up i´ve seen for
investigators. and heck if it leads to her getting to know the church
i´m alright with this sudden burst of work. haha! i´ll just have to keep
a close eye them. ;)
anyway that was the biggest news for the week.
sounds like things are going well back home. i´ll talk to you all next
week. buh bye now!
Elder Cornwall
