So i´m now here in Boa vista. I´m pretty close to the mission office. in fact i think that i´m in the zone of the mission office. so the president will probably be like right next to our house for a little while. =) i´m still DL and its of a very small district. its just me and one other companionship. i tell you what its a lot easier to be the DL of elders that dont have to tell the story of every single contact they ever did.... hahaha! I loved being the DL of sisters but they really liked to talk.
So yea i´m pretty settled in here.
i´m actually really excited to work here. we are actually just over a
branch. but they are trying to become a ward. if we can get a little bit
more of the preisthood in this ward they can start filling out the
papers to become a ward. =) i´m excited to help contribute. =)
my
companion is awesome. his name is elder Garcia. He´s from bolivia and
i´ve been trying to pick up the spanish from him. we´ve been going back
and forth trying to learn the others language. its very similer to
portugues but its still a little wierd to understand the spanish. its
just a really REALLY wierd accented portuguese. but if he sticks with me
for awhile and might just come home tri lingual... ooOOOooo.
so
also about the byu stuff. this is kinda what i´m thinking. I´m pretty
sure that BYU can give me a pretty good education in computer
engineering. but the biggest reasons i want to go there are mostly
financial. while i had a blast up at USU and would love to return. when i
think about 4000$ out of my pocket every semester with out much of any
type of secure financial income, it just makes me cringe a little bit.
so thats what i´ve been thinking about... if you would like to do a
little bit of homework for me on financial opportunities at USU that
would be very welcome. but as of right now the plan kinda seems to be
leaning towards BYU. I´ve been talking to a lot of people here in the
mission and it kinda seems to boil down to 4 Ways to pay for collage.
Work, Scholarships, Governmental grants, or a 4 year contract with the
National Reserve . if you want to look into a couple of these for me to
see what i can do it would help me out a ton. i´d love to do it my self
but sadly I´m kinda limited on internet access.
So
the mission is still going great. i´m super excited to have probably
entered my last area on the mission. Yes i do think that i´m going to
die here in boa vista. (what a trunky thought...) haha! So i guess i´ll
talk to you guys next week. see you! later!
