So this week was pretty stinking awesome. We had a lot of interesting things happen.
Me
and garcia have been working a ton with less actives this week. we are
trying to get them to come back to chruch and to have them help us out a
little bit with the missionary work. Its going well.
To
give people a little bit more incentive to come to the church we´ve
come up with a couple ideas to help them have reasons to come. last week
I told you guys a little bit about the English classes. we usually get
about 9 or 10 people every week there. Now about half of the youth can
all say a prayer in english. =) woop woop
We´ve
also started a Ward activity night. its basically like a Family home
evening in the chapel. we start with a prayer a hymn and a message. then
we always have some type of game and treat at the end. we´ve already
pulled off 2 of the activity nights and have submitted a calender to the
bishopbric to help all the organizations be involved in the set up and
to keep the activity nights going after we leave. =) I feel smart. =)
But
the neat ideas of finding people to reactivate Or Baptize dont stop
there. As a district we´ve decided to have a Chapel open house this Saturday.
basically we will just have the members in the chapel as tour guides
and have the missionaries out in the street talking and inviting every
one to go check out the chapel. we hope it works out. =)
I
can´t tell you how much more fun it is too be a missionary when we try
to work a little bit more creative. Its so much nicer then just working
with lists.
Well I think i best be going. I
tried to get a screen shot of my house but the computer is having a
couple problems today. if you want to see my area just go to mormon.org
click on the "visit us" link and then on the "find a chapel" look up
the Boa vista/Paraiso chapel. it should show up. that will get you
pretty much my area. =)
