Hello Everybody!
this week was really rather interresting. i´ve had to do a lot of divisions with my district. (because my comp is the DL.) and so i´ve been having to run my own area alot. luckily i´m the least experienced in portuguese in my district and so any other person that will come with me to speak is pretty much fluent and knows how to teach in just about any situation. Its certainly been kinda cool running things. even though i´m still not perfect in portuguese i´ve shown to myself that if i have to i can lead. (and then came the pride... haha)
Also this week is transfers. we were called yesterday and Elder Leonon is staying in Alvorada, (Vergel) and i´m leaving... i´m not sure where i´m going yet all i know is that i have to be at the chapel in Farol tommorrow morning. there Leonon will find his new companion and i´ll go somewhere... haha! i´ll let you know next week where i am.
now that i have almost 6 and 1/2 months on my mission now the liklihood that i will have a leadership position is there. i´m not sure about being DL but training or being senior compainion is a very likly possibility. I´ll tell you more next week. =)
So the work is going great. we had 8 investigaters come to our ward last week. this is more than we´ve ever had. the families that we are teaching are all progressing great. they all have questions and concerns here and there but they are all great to teach. very understanding.
My favorite thing that happened this week was once again with the family of Mary Jane. I think i mentioned them last week. They are all super prepared and will be baptized a week from this saturday. sadly i won´t be here to see it but i´ll try and keep in contact with them. =) We were teaching them a lesson about the importance of families in their lives. they agreed with everything, and when we showed a film about how families can be together for ever, the parents were very touched by this. they were so excited to here about that. then after we were all done and had a prayer. Mary jane tells us to stay where we are and then she brings out a massive cake. it was kinda like a chocolate and white swirl for the actual cake and chocolate frosting. it was so good... haha! i´m super excited for them and how well they are doing.
Well i´m sorry that this is kinda a boring email. but know that i´m doing well. i´m super excited for my next area. I know that this area is in good hands with Elder Leonon. He was truly and exceptional missionary to work with. i´m happy to here that all is going well at home. =) I promise that i´ll be more exciting next week. =) haha! buh-bye now!!!
