So Something I've noticed about this week is how short everyone in darby is. there are a few tall people in this town but I think the Average Height of the people here is about 5'8" Its Kinda funny. Whenever We stand up after a meeting with people I realize that i'm significantly taller then just about everyone... haha! Oh its funny.
So still no word on the Visa. My excitement from the hints that I got is pretty much warn off. I can finally focus again on the work here. haha!
So this week was mission tour. We had one of the Seventy come and speak to us and it was actually really cool! They explained a lot on the actual doctrine of christ. meaning stuff like Faith Repentence Baptism and the holy ghost and enduring to the end. It was actually really cool. I've heard from about ten thousand people that just about any problem someone has can be related back to one of those subjects... and for the longest time I had no Idea what they meant. It was kinda frustrating but After this Meeting we had With Elder Arnold, It was very clear as to how it could be related back to those subjects. It was very well done and I really enjoyed it. =)
Also this week we had a way cool door step experience. We were Tracting out in the boonies. ( I swear each house was about half a mile apart.... and we were WALKING!!!! good grief...) but its the last house we decide to knock before we were going to head back. (I dont get why its always the last house... haha!!) we knock on the door and this middle aged man opens the door. He says that he was agnostic and that organized religion had never really played a role in his life. Well eventually we start talking to him about his garden. then we get on to the subject of religion again. we ask him If he had ever heard of the mormons. He says yes and tells us that we were the relegion that most lived what was actually taught.
Then he said that he would really like a book of mormon! HOLY SMOKES!!! I just about died... We explained a little bit about it and asked him if he would pray to know that it was true. He Accepted the challenge and said that he would be in contact with us. =D Even though I havent been apart of any baptisms yet I feel like I've really been blessed to have a few Awesome Experiences! The best is still by far Kelly the Miracle lady back in billings. But That was the best thing thats happened since i've been in darby! It was fantastic the way that he was actually interested in the book of mormon and wasnt waiting for us to "sell it" to him. IT WAS GREAT!!!
Anyway! Hope all is well! Happy Daddy Day Dad! Know that I love ya and that I wish the Best for you! Thanks so much for The way you raised me. Even though I know I was a Pain sometimes I know that you kept me in line simply because you loved me. haha! Hope Everything was good yesterday!
I love you all so much! Till Next week!
